Purpose-Centered Insurance and Financial Life Planning
8 Hours CE pending in Texas.
FAN's coach-training workshop follows the teachings in Jim Munchbach’s thought-provoking books for Insurance and Financial Advisors. You’ll learn to use powerful coaching skills to help clients achieve their hopes and dreams. And like a Master Builder, you’ll use a Blueprint that comfortably takes you and your clients through the financial life planning process using a Three-Meeting approach.
• First Meeting – Foundation (Discovery Skills to help you clarify your clients' core values, purpose, financial position, and goals.) Learn more...
• Second Meeting – Framing (Designing Skills to help you shape your clients' plan and strategy based on what matters most to them. The second meeting is informal, educational, and fun. The second meeting demonstrates respect for clients. Professionals who are willing to invest a little more time to be sure they understand their client's hopes and dreams become Trusted Advisors.) Learn more...
• Third Meeting – Finishing (Presentation Skills to help you communicate the best solutions to achieve what matters most for your clients so that you comfortably win their confidence, their business, and their referrals.) Learn more...
• Five Core Coaching Skills – The VIM Model stands for Vision; Intention; and Means. As Insurance and Financial Advisors, we have the opportunity to help our clients design a financial life plan. The use of a simple coaching model and five coaching skills assist in knowing when to focus on discovery regarding VIM and when to advise based on financial expertise. FAN's process begins with understanding the clients' vision for their future. Next, using coaching skills, we learn to leverage the client's internal motivation to achieve their hopes and dreams - gaining their commitment or intention to move forward with you as their Advisor in the process. Finally, our technical skills as altruistic financial professionals help our clients identify the best options for their money - the means for achieving what matters most in their lives. These three essential elements of the financial life planning process can be executed in an authentic, efficient, and effective manner when Insurance and Financial Advisors learn the principles and apply the skills taught in FAN's ELITE coach-training program.

About Jim Munchbach, Your Workshop Leader
Jim has seen the power of purpose in shaping people’s vision for the future, motivating them to reach their goals, and giving them a thrill when they connect their money to what matters most. Before learning these principles, Jim was a very successful sales professional, but something was missing. Trusted mentors helped him see the tremendous benefits of financial life planning – benefits for clients, and for us as Financial Advisors. As our clients’ guide in the complex world of financial planning, we have a unique opportunity – not just to sell “stuff” – but also to impart purpose, value, and wisdom as we serve clients each day.
Linda Miller, Master Certified Coach
Also leading your workshop is Linda Miller who serves as Global Liaison for Coaching with The Ken Blanchard Companies. As an executive coach and trainer, Linda has a passion for people taking effective, intentional action. Since 1995, she has helped thousands of professionals build productive and collaborative relationships with colleagues and clients. Linda is co-author of Coaching Essentials for Leaders, a coach training program that encourages leaders to use coaching skills to create strong business alliances. Her second book on coaching, Coaching in Organizations: Best Coaching Practices from The Ken Blanchard Companies, will be released in April 2008.
